Wexler MIS Hybrid Instruments – Synergy in Action

Introducing our exclusive new line of minimally invasive surgical instruments – Our MIS Hybrid Line. For the first time in the industry, Wexler has created a new minimally invasive line by pairing our signature MIS Blue Wave Handle with a VATS, or video-assisted thoracic surgery, style jaw. The expert design of these instruments allows for a more comfortable and secure grip when performing procedures such as tricuspid valve surgery, atrial resection, mitral valve surgery, myxoma resection, and laproscopic surgeries.

The unique design of the MIS Hybrid instruments offers critical benefits during complex procedures. The Endo Right Angled Dissector is ideal for bicaval cannulation via a minimally invasive minithoracotomy approach endoscopic or direct visualization for the same operations listed above. It is the ideal tool to pass caval tapes around the superior vena cava after the soft tissue between the right pulmonary artery and the SVC has been opened, abbreviating this part of the procedure.

The Double Angled Debakey Clamp is ideal for bicaval cannulation with caval control via a minimally invasive minithoracotomy approach with endoscopic or direct visualization. This technique is used in closure and atrial septal defect, myxoma resection, tricuspid valve surgery, and mitral valve surgery. It is the best tool to pass caval tapes around the interior vena cava after the oblique sinus has been opened, and abbreviated a process that can be difficult in minimally invasive procedures.

As with our other Blue Wave Handle minimally invasive instruments, our Hybrid line can be customized to your preferences using our colored handled system. For more information on these colored handles, check out our MICS Colored Handles article.
